The experience to live in different cultures has stir me to feel present in the moment to have a sense of belonging, which has translated to the strokes of my canvas.
Finding new connections, searching for new ways, and understanding new unknown realities, is for me, one in the same way I express myself in my paintings; marks find their way with their own movement, talking to each other, allowing for the changes of what the media dictates to enrich the experience, setting the color free to flow full of emotion.
Today I am working on exploring the open possibilities of color; following my intuition I am sketching my emotions through the dimensions of color to a flowing lyrical abstraction.
Bio
I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, where I received a BA in Graphic Design from Centro de las Mercedes. Later I furthered my studies at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with a AS in Graphic Design.

All of these experiences have influenced me in my search for my own voice, leading me to pursue art full-time.
At the Art Student League of New York I studied life drawing with artist Costa Vavagiaskis and Painting with artist Larry Poons, who inspiring the abstract expression I work with today.
I continue to develop my artistic skills and processes, further challenging my artistic identity. More recently I have been studying under Australian artist based in New York Peter Bonner.

Creative Process
I express my art in two languages, intention and non-intentional, abstract/figurative. In both, with abandonment and contemplation lead me to feel that creative state, driving me to leave a mark. Through gesture and color, a truth is revealed as a record of my hand movement and connection with my soul.
A passion for exploration and an honest process of emotions allow me to connect with that other reality.
